You know you’re getting authentic dirt when you buy it from the source.  The Omaha Royals, Rosenblatt’s Minor League Baseball tenant, is selling everything from t-shirts to Rosenblatt replicas to actual dirt that is scooped off the infield and encased in acrylic frames and keychains. Two free online community sites, and, were recently launched for people wishing to share their memories, photos and videos of Rosenblatt Stadium.


There is virtually no limit to the number of businesses putting their own stamp on t-shirts commemorating the Blatt’s final year. Honorable mention goes to The Dugout and Stadium View Sports, two local retailers that created hybrid shirts that pay tribute to the stadium and serve as calling cards for their business.  My personal favorite is the simple white t-shirt I saw hanging outside a small shop at 17th & Vinton that reads “Tell me again what’s wrong with Rosenblattin black text, adorned by a silhouette of the Blatt.
