Kansas 2011 Baseball Schedule

Kansas is the first Big 12 team to unveil its 2011 college baseball schedule, and Ritch Price’s Jayhawks will get their season going with a bang. Kansas will open its 2011 slate February 18-20 at TCU in Ft. Worth, TX.  The Horned Frogs are fresh off a trip to the College World Series.

The Jayhawks follow the season-opening series with its first home game on Feb. 22 vs. Creighton. They will then play a total of five games against St. Louis, Iowa and Southern Utah Feb. 25-March 2 in the Jayhawk Classic at Hoglund Ballpark.

Four games are on tap at the Coca Cola Classic March 3-6 in Surprise, AZ. Arizona State is the host team of the event.

Kansas has non-conference home games scheduled with North Dakota (2), Eastern Michigan (3), Arkansas-Little Rock (1), Missouri State (1), and Wichita State (1).

Non-conference road games are slated against Arkansas (1), Missouri State (1), Iowa (2), Creighton (1), Wichita State (1), and Arkansas-Little Rock (1).

Kansas will also play a non-conference game against rival Missouri on April 19 at Kauffman Stadium, the home of the Kansas City Royals, in Kansas City, MO.

Big 12 Conference home series are slated versus Oklahoma State, Baylor, Nebraska, and  Texas.  KU will go on the road in Big 12 action vs. Texas A&M, Missouri, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma.  Kansas will travel to Kansas State in game one of their conference series vs. the Wildcats and then host K-State for the final two games of that regular season ending series.
