Houston 2011 Baseball Schedule

The Houston Cougars have released their 2011 college baseball schedule. First year head coach Todd Whiting will coach his first games at home when Houston opens the 2011 season February 18-20 vs. Texas-Arlington. They will host a single game vs. Stephen F. Austin on Feb. 22 and then host a three game series against SEC power Ole Miss Feb. 25-27.

The Cougars will play in the Houston College Classic March 4-6. The event is played at Minute Maid Park, which is the home of the Houston Astros. Other teams in the field are yet to be determined.

Houston has non-conference road games scheduled at Texas-San Antonio (1), Texas State (3), McNeese State (1), Rice (2), TCU (3), Texas A&M (1), Sam Houston State (1), and Stephen F. Austin (1).

Other non-conference home games on the Cougar slate include McNeese State (1), Texas Southern (1), Sam Houston State (1), Kent State (3), Lamar (1), and UT-San Antonio (1).

Houston opens Conference USA play April 1-3 when it visits Tulane. Other CUSA road series are at Marshall, UCF and Memphis.  They will host UAB, East Carolina, Rice, and Southern Mississippi in CUSA action.
