Georgia Tech 2011 Baseball Schedule

Georgia Tech has unveiled its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Yellow Jackets play 19 of their first 21 games at home, including their season-opening three-game series against Kent State.

Tech plays two games in Statesboro, GA on February 22 and 23 against Georgia Southern, and then the Eagles return the trip to Atlanta for two more games on March 15 and 16.

Big East teams St. John’s and Rutgers both visit Russ Chandler Stadium for three game series during the Ramblin’ Wreck’s 16-game home stand that starts on Feb. 25 with the series-opener against the and ends on March 20.

Georgia Tech opens ACC play March 11-13 when it hosts Maryland. Other conference home series are against North Carolina State, Virginia, Boston College, and North Carolina. ACC road series are at Miami, Duke, Wake Forest, Clemson, and Virginia Tech.

The Yellow Jackets will play three games against rival Georgia during the 2011 season. They will play one game in Athens and one in Atlanta on each team’s home field and then conclude the series at Turner Field, the home of the Atlanta Braves, with the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta game.

Danny Hall’s squad also makes a notable trip north May 7-9 for a three-game series at Illinois-Chicago.

The ACC Tournament is May 25-29 in Durham, NC.
