Georgia 2011 Baseball Schedule

Georgia is the latest SEC school to release its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Bulldogs open their season February 18-20 when they travel to Deland, FL for a three-game series with Stetson.

UGA returns home to host Furman on Feb. 23 and then plays host to a three-game set with Baylor Feb. 25-27. After returning the trip to Greenville, SC to play Furman on March 2, Georgia hosts three games with Florida State March 4-6. The Seminoles are one of five teams Georgia will play in 2011 that qualified for the 2010 College World Series.

The Bulldogs make a brief west coast swing when they face UCLA, USC and St. Mary’s March 11-13 in Los Angeles. The game vs. the Gaels will be played at Dodger Stadium.

Five days after playing 2010 CWS runner-up UCLA, Georgia opens SEC play March 16-18 in Columbia, SC against the defending national champion South Carolina Gamecocks. Other conference road series are at Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, and Kentucky.

Georgia hosts LSU, Mississippi State, Florida, Arkansas, and Vanderbilt in conference play. The Bulldogs do not face Alabama in a conference series in 2011, but the two teams will meet on March 9 at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville, GA.

The Bulldogs face Georgia Tech three times in three different locations during the season. The first game is March 22 in Athens, the second meeting is April 12 at Georgia Tech and the third game is April 26 at Turner Field.

The SEC Tournament is May 25-29 in Hoover, AL.
