Virginia 2011 Baseball Schedule

Virginia has released its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Cavaliers open the season February 18-20 with games against Auburn, UAB and Arkansas State at the Auburn Tournament. It will be UVA’s first meeting with both UAB and Arkansas State and its first game against Auburn since 2003.

The Cavs begin an 11-game homestand on Feb. 23 against VMI. Other opponents in the homestand are Niagara, Cornell, Rider, William & Mary, and a three-game series with East Carolina.

Virginia opens ACC play when it travels to Clemson for a March 11-13 series. Other conference road series are at Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Boston College, and North Carolina. UVA hosts Florida State, Maryland, Duke, North Carolina State, and Miami in ACC play.

In all, the Cavaliers will play 36 home games and a total of 25 games against 2010 NCAA Tournament teams in 2011.

The ACC Tournament is May 25-29 in Durham, NC.
