Conference Slated For 43 TV Games…

Along with the slate of 43 games announced Monday as part of the ACC’s Olympic Sport coverage for the upcoming spring season, additional games will be carried by the conference’s institutional partners and the ACC Digital Network. The complete listing of those games will be released at a later date.

In addition to the six games announced last month as part of the ACC Monday package on ESPNU, the ACC national/regional schedule will include at least 24 head-to-head matchups between teams that participated in the 2011 NCAA Tournament. The schedule opens March 4, with Clemson playing host to two-time defending champion South Carolina in a high-profile nonconference rivalry game on ESPN3. Florida State’s home game vs. Florida will also be carried by ESPN3 on April 10.

Within the ACC, all three games of the Virginia-Florida State (March 17-19), NC State-North Carolina (March 24-26), Miami-Clemson (March 30-April 1), Georgia Tech-North Carolina (April 20-22) and Florida State-Clemson (May 12-14) will be carried via a combination of ESPNU, ESPN3 and RSN.

RSN, which reaches up 24 million households, includes Fox Sports South, Sun Sports, Comcast Sports Atlantic and NESN. All ACC games produced as part of the RSN package will also be available on ESPN3 in locations beyond the RSN territory.

36 Home Games Set For Tigers…

Clemson has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Tigers begin their season with a six game homestand. It starts Feb. 17-19 with a three game series against Alabama-Birmingham. Maine then visits Clemson for three games Feb. 24-26.

The Tigers play three games in three days against their biggest rival, two-time defending national champion South Carolina, March 2-4. The first game is in neutral site Charleston, SC. Game two is in Columbia, with the series finale on March 4 at Clemson.

Home and home series with Georgia and Elon, a home game vs. Coastal Carolina and a three game home series vs. the College of Charleston are among the Tigers’ other non-conference series.

ACC play begins March 9-11 when Clemson hosts North Carolina. Other conference home series are against Boston College, Miami, North Carolina State, and Florida State. Conference road series are at Virginia, Duke, Maryland, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest.

36 Home Games Set For Cavaliers…

On the heels of the program’s second trip to the College World Series, Virginia has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Cavaliers open their season Feb. 17-19 at the Caravelle Resort Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC with games against Boston College, James Madison and host Coastal Carolina.

Virginia then plays 14 of its next 15 and 20 of its next 24 games at home. A nine-game home stand begins on Feb. 21 against William & Mary. Other foes during the stand are Monmouth (3), Liberty, Wright State (2), and Seton Hall (2).

After a March 6 game at James Madison, UVA returns home to open ACC play against intrastate rival Virginia Tech March 9-11. Other conference home series are against Clemson, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Georgia Tech. Conference road series are at Florida State, Miami, Duke, Maryland, and North Carolina State.

34 Home Games On Tap For Seminoles…

Florida State has unveiled its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Seminoles open the new season with 10 straight regular season games. An 11th game, an exhibition against the Philadelphia Phillies, takes place February 29 in Clearwater, Fla.

The Seminoles open the campaign Feb. 17-19 with a three game series against Hofstra. Jacksonville visits on Feb. 21, followed by three games against Florida International Feb. 24-26. FSU hosts three games against Maine March 2-4.

After two games at Central Florida March 6 & 7, Florida State opens ACC play March 9-11 when it visits Duke. Other conference home series are at Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Boston College, and Clemson. Conference home series are against Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami, Maryland, and North Carolina State.

The ‘Noles host two non-conference games with Stetson March 20 & 21 and then returns the two games in Deland, Fla. May 8 & 9. A home series vs. Rhode Island is slated for April 27-29.

FSU faces intrastate rival Florida three time during the season. Each team will host a game on its home field, with a neutral site game to be played in Jacksonville.

21 Games Set vs. 2011 NCAA Teams…

Virginia Tech has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Hokies open their season February 17-19 in Kennesaw, GA at the Kennesaw State Tournament with two games each against Bradley and Kennesaw St.

The Hokies head to Myrtle Beach, SC for the second weekend of the season at the Baseball By The Beach Tournament. VT plays West Virginia, Coastal Carolina, George Mason, and Iowa.

A home opening four game series vs. Yale is set for March 3-5 after a Feb. 28 game at High Point.

Yellow Jackets To Face Nine 2011 NCAA Teams…

Georgia Tech has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Yellow Jackets will open their season February 17-19 with two games each against Winthrop and Kent State at the Winthrop Tournament in Rock Hill, SC.

After a Feb. 22 game at Georgia Southern, Tech plays its home opening series Feb. 24-26 with three games against Ohio State.

The Yellow Jackets open ACC play March 9-11 with a three game series at North Carolina State. Other conference road series are at Boston College, Wake Forest, North Carolina, and Virginia. They host Virginia Tech, Duke, Florida State, Clemson, and Miami in ACC action.

Danny Hall‘s squad also plays three games against arch rival Georgia during the 2012 season. Each school will host a game on its home campus, with the third game on May 9 in Atlanta’s Turner Field.

Georgia Tech also hosts a three game series vs. Charlotte May 5-6.

31 Home Games Await Demon Deacons…

Wake Forest has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Demon Deacons will open the new campaign when they play a four game series vs. New Mexico State February 17-19 in Las Cruces, NM. They play their home opener against High Point on Feb. 22.

That game starts a 16-game homestand that runs through March 14. Non-conference opponents in that stretch include UMBC, Cincinnati, Georgetown, UNC Asheville, Eastern Michigan, Marshall, Valparaiso, Georgia Southern, and New Jersey Tech.

Wake Forest opens ACC play March 9-11 when it hosts Maryland. Other conference home series are against Florida State, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, and Clemson.

The Demon Deacons go on the road in conference action to play North Carolina State, North Carolina, Virginia, Boston College, and Miami. They do not face Duke in 2012.

Duke is the latest school to release its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Blue Devils open their season February 18-20 when they host a three-game series against Richmond. That series is followed by a home game against Campbell on Feb. 22.

The Blue Devils will play their midweek home games at their on-campus facility, Jack Coombs Field.  The bulk of their weekend home games are at Durham Athletic Park, which is the home of the minor league Durham Bulls.

Duke opens ACC play March 11-13 when it hosts North Carolina State. Other conference home series are against Georgia Tech, Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. ACC road action is at Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida State, and Miami.

The ACC Baseball Tournament is May 26-30 at Durham Athletic Park.

Miami has released its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Hurricanes host a three-game series with Rutgers February 18-20 to open the new season. A February 23 game at Florida Atlantic is followed by another three-game series at Alex Rodriguez Stadium, to give the Hurricanes home games in six of their first seven contests.

Miami heads to Gainesville, FL for a March 4-6 three-game set against Florida. The series is a rematch from the 2010 Super Regionals, which was also in Gainesville. The Gators swept the series to advance to the College World Series and ended Miami’s season.
