DURHAM, N.C.—Virginia sewed up the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season championship with a series win at Miami and remained at No. 1 in the Baseball America Top 25 rankings.

The Cavaliers stayed at No. 1 for the fifth straight week, and the top four in the rankings stayed the same for the fourth straight week. No. 4 Florida won the weekend’s biggest showdown, clinching the Southeastern Conference’s regular-season crown with a series win at South Carolina, which slid four spots to No. 10. Losses by South Carolina and Florida State allowed a few teams to move up in the top 10, including Texas Christian, which swept Cal State Bakersfield to move up to No. 6 and finish the season as the only team in the country without a weekend series loss.

Louisville moved back into the top 10 with a road series sweep of Notre Dame to win the Big East Conference regular-season title by a half-game over Connecticut. The Huskies also moved up one spot to No. 19 thanks to a series win against Seton Hall, but a loss on the last day of the regular season dropped them behind Louisville. In other SEC action, Auburn jumped up three spots to No. 13 by going on the road and sweeping then-No. 18 Mississippi, clinching the SEC Western Division title.

Clemson was the only team to join the rankings this week, replacing Mississippi. The Tigers returned to the rankings for the first time in six weeks, and they did so in emphatic fashion, sweeping Florida State to snatch the ACC’s Atlantic Division title away from the Seminoles, who needed only one win to clinch. FSU tumbled seven spots to No. 14.
