USF Pitcher Fired D1’s First No-Hitter Of Season

The South Florida junior threw the first 9-inning no-hitter of the season on March 26th.  He struck out 12 with just two walks in USF’s 3-game sweep of Notre Dame.   Fontanez was the preseason Big East Conference Pitcher of the Year, but the no-hitter was his first win of the season after suffering losses to teams like Florida and Ohio State.  In this interview with Collegebaseball360.com editor Sean Stires he talks about his gem as well as his team.
