A rash of midweek upsets (Feb. 26–27) within the CB360 Composite National Rankings (CNR) Top–50 included three home losses by top–10 teams (all on Feb. 27), as Austin Peay won a 7–6 , 10-inning thriller at [3] Vanderbilt … VCU posted an 11–8 win at [6] North Carolina … and UCF won 12–9 at [10] Florida. The losses by Vandy and UNC were their first defeats of the season.

There also were four other midweek losses by top-25 teams within the CNR: College of Charleston 8–5 vs. visiting [16] Coastal Carolina … Xavier 5–4 at [17] Louisville … LIU Brooklyn in a rare 1–0 game at [18] Georgia … and UTSA 10–7 at [20] Texas.
The 11 CNR Top–50 upsets also included:
• New Orleans 2–1 at [3] Southern Miss.
• New Mexico 5–5 at [32] Arizona
• LMU 7–3 vs. visiting [36] UC Irvine
• and San Diego 4–2 at [43] San Diego State
… There also were a couple of notable results on Monday, Feb. 25, as Air Force won 3–2 at [26] East Carolina and Siena won 8–7 at [50] Stetson to secure a series upset.
And there were two midweek games between CB360 Top–50 teams, with [15] Baylor posting a 10–4 home win vs. [41] Dallas Baptist … and [20] Texas winning at home, 10–3 vs. [42] Sam Houston State.
