North Carolina 2011 Baseball Schedule

North Carolina has released its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Tar Heels open their season February 18-20 in Los Angeles with games against Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, USC, and Missouri.

They play their home opener the following weekend when they host a three-game series against Seton Hall. That series is the start of a 10-game homestand that also sees Charlotte, Davidson, Stony Brook, Elon, and St. John’s visit Chapel Hill.

North Carolina opens ACC play March 11-13 in Winston-Salem, NC against Wake Forest. Other conference road series are at Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. UNC hosts ACC series against Duke, Clemson, Miami, Maryland, and Virginia.

The ACC Tournament is May 25-29 in Durham, NC.

The Tar Heels host a total of 34 games at Boshamer Stadium in 2011. Half of their 56 games are against teams that qualified for the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
