Oklahoma 2011 Baseball Schedule

Oklahoma has unveiled its 2011 college baseball schedule. After a trip to the 2010 College World Series, the Sooners open 2011 with a nine-game homestand. The season opens with a February 18-20 four-game series against William & Mary, followed by two games against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and ends with three games against Oakland (Michigan).

After a March 1 game at Texas-Arlington, OU heads plays four games in the March 3-6 San Diego Tournament. The Sooners play one game each against host San Diego and California and two games against San Diego State.

The Sooners play a marquee mid-week series in Tempe, AZ on March 15 & 16 when they play two games against Arizona State. Both teams advanced to Omaha in 2010. The two teams did not meet at the CWS.

OU also plays a home and home series against another 2010 CWS team – TCU. The Sooners host the Horned Frogs on April 12 and visit Ft. Worth, TX on April 26.

Oklahoma opens Big 12 play when it hosts Texas A&M April 1-3. Other conference home series are against Texas Tech, Nebraska and Kansas. Conference road series are at Missouri, Kansas State, Texas, and Baylor. The first game of their Big 12 series with Oklahoma State will be played in Tulsa, while the final two games of the series are at OSU in Stillwater.

The Sooners also host a May 13-15 four-game series with New Mexico. The Lobos are coming off their first NCAA appearance in nearly 50 years.
