Bearcats Have 30 Home Games Set…

Cincinnati has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Bearcats open the season February 17-19 with games against Purdue, Indiana and Penn State at the fourth annual Big Ten/Big East Challenge in the St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Fla. area.

The Bearcats head to Winston-Salem, NC the following weekend for three games at the Wake Forest Tournament. They will face Georgetown, Wake Forest and Maryland-Baltimore County (UMBC).

Cincinnati’s March 2 home opener starts a four game series vs. Oakland as well as an 11 game homestand. UC also plays a four game series vs. Chicago State and three games vs. Michigan State in that stretch.

A March 20 trip to Butler is followed by a home game the next day vs. Kentucky.

Big East Conference play begins March 23-25 with a trip to Louisville. Other conference road series are at Notre Dame, Connecticut and Villanova. The Bearcats host Pittsburgh, South Florida, St. John’s, Rutgers, and Georgetown in conference action as well.

Cincinnati also plays two games April 10-11 in Oxford, OH at the Nuxhall Classic. Their first game is against Wright State and their second game will be against either Miami or Xavier.
