25 Home Games Set For Pirates…

Seton Hall has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The defending Big East Tournament champions open their season Feb. 17-19 with four games at the Big Ten/Big East Challenge in he St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Fla. area. The Pirates face Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, and Northwestern during their opening weekend.

A trip to Knoxville, Tenn. is set for the following weekend for three games against Tennessee.

The Pirates are at the Virginia Tournament March 2-4. The Pirates play both Virginia and George Mason twice at the event.

After a March 6 home opener vs. Manhattan Seton Hall heads to Port Charlotte, Fla. for the Snowbird Classic March 9-11. Games are scheduled against Miami (OH), Michigan State and Akron.

Seton Hall hosts the Strike Out Cancer Tournament March 16-18. Fordham, Maine and New Jersey Tech will all face the Pirates.

Big East Conference play begins March 23-25 when Seton Hall hosts New Jersey rival Rutgers. Other conference home series are against Notre Dame, West Virginia, Villanova, and Pittsburgh. Conference road series are at Connecticut, Louisville, Georgetown, and St. John’s.
