There were 10 upsets on Friday (see below), including Connecticut’s win at regional host Virginia Tech, and each of there will be rematches for each of those 10 in Sunday’s early elimination games. In fact, only four of Sunday’s 16 early games at the various sites will not be rematches from Friday: Austin Peay-Valparaiso, Oregon-San Francisco, South Alabama-Central Arkansas, and Arizona State-Columbia. Virginia Tech and Oregon are the only regional hosts facing elimination in Sunday’s early round of elimination games (Oklahoma and Rice have started 2-0 at those sites, respectively).
Each of the 16 regionals are broken down below, with the Regional Central links again included plus quick summary of Friday’s day-1 results.
The 48 teams remaining include: eight each from the ACC & SEC … four each from the Pac-12 & Sun Belt … three each from the Colonial, Big 12 & Big West … two from the Big Ten, Big East, Southland & WCC … and one each from the Ivy League, Horizon, Conference USA, Northeast Conf., Ohio Valley, Southern Conf. and Big South.

With upsets at 10 different sites on Friday, there were only six winners bracket games on Saturday between the regional host and the 2-seed at that site (three of these six were west-coast regionals), with the home team winning all but Rice at Oregon:
