Minnesota won at Kansas State (3-0) and Gardner-Webb similarly had a noteworthy win at Appalachian State (6-5), during a light Wednesday schedule throughout college baseball. There were only eight CB360 top-50 teams in action on May 5, with six of them winning while #37 K-State and #44 App.-State suffered upset losses. (front-page photo courtesy of Minnesota)
In other CB360 top-50 action, #6 Louisville won again at Ohio State (10-8) and #42 Liberty picked up a key win (11-1 vs. Maryland) as the Flames look to bolster their NCAA Tournament resume.
The games listed below indicate the updated CB360 Composite National Rankings, which includes two new teams in the top-50 (#49 Louisiana-Lafayette and #50 Washington) – with Kansas and Western Carolina dropping out of the top-50. Note that the CNR homepage on CB360 will be updated later tonight with the full weekly release (listing the top-50, biggest jumps/drops, conference breakdown, etc.)
