2011 Big East/Big Ten Challenge Schedule

The schedule for the 2011 Big East/Big Ten Baseball Challenge has been set. The event will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 18, 19 and 20 in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg, FL area.

Knology Park in Dunedin, FL

Eight teams from the Big East and eight teams from the Big Ten will participate in the third annual event. Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, St. John’s, and West Virginia will represent the Big East. This is the first time Pittsburgh has participated in the Challenge. Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue will represent the Big Ten.

Here’s a look at the 2011 schedule, which features eight games a day (visiting teams listed first):

Friday, February 18

10 am Iowa vs. West Virginia – Jack Russell Memorial Stadium
10am  Penn State vs. Seton Hall – Al Lang Field

1pm    Minnesota vs. St. John’s – Jack Russell Memorial Stadium
1pm    Ohio State vs. Cincinnati – Al Lang Field

4pm   Illinois vs. Pittsburgh – Jack Russell Memorial Stadium
4pm   Michigan vs. Louisville – Al Lang Field
4pm   Michigan State vs. Notre Dame – Florida Auto Exchange (Dunedin) Stadium

7:30pm Purdue vs. UConn – Florida Auto Exchange (Dunedin) Stadium

Saturday, February 19

10 am  Cincinnati vs. Illinois – Jack Russell Memorial Stadium
10 am  Seton Hall vs. Michigan State – Al Lang Field

1pm    West Virginia vs. Penn State – Jack Russell Memorial Stadium
1pm    St. John’s vs. Michigan – Al Lang Field

4pm   UConn vs. Minneosta – Jack Russell Memorial Stadium
4pm  Notre Dame vs. Purdue – Al Lang Field
4pm  Louisville vs. Ohio State – Bright House Field

7:30pm Pittsburgh vs. Iowa – Bright House Field
