The schedule for the 2011 Big East/Big Ten Baseball Challenge has been set. The event will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday February 18, 19 and 20 in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg, FL area.
Eight teams from the Big East and eight teams from the Big Ten will participate in the third annual event. Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, Notre Dame, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, St. John’s, and West Virginia will represent the Big East. This is the first time Pittsburgh has participated in the Challenge. Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue will represent the Big Ten.
Here’s a look at the 2011 schedule, which features eight games a day (visiting teams listed first):
