Comments From Tournament Selection Committee Chair…

2012 NCAA Baseball Committee Chair Kyle Kallander is in his 16th season as Big South Conference Commissioner.

After a regular season that began more than three months ago and a week full of conference tournaments, the selection process is complete for the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament. The field of 64 was announced in its entirety on Monday and those teams are now ready for Regional action at 16 locations around the country this Friday, June 1.

As with any selection process, there were surprises in who was picked, who was left out and how seeding was handed out. Big South Conference Commissioner, Kyle Kallander, is the chair of this year’s selection committee. Kallander fielded questions from members of the media after Monday’s selection show. We took some of the more notable comments and put them together in this audio podcast.

Among those who asked questions were College Baseball 360’s Sean Stires, Kendall Rogers of Perfect Game and Eric Sorenson from College Baseball Today.
