Here’s the message from the Save Cal Baseball group:

The Chancellor (Robert Birgeneau) reinstated the Cal Baseball program today, with an official announcement to come when we finally hit our goal of $10 million in funds raised! We have about a half a million to go, but the program will continue without interruption!

This is a great day for the University of California as a whole, and specifically the great Cal Baseball tradition!

Thank you to all of you for your support, efforts, encouragement, and tenacity! Mark your calendars for the weekend of April 22-24- we will plan a celebratory BBQ at Evans Diamond!

GO BEARS!

As we celebrate the reinstatement of Cal Baseball today, let’s also remember we are 4-5 with one team to go!

Cal Men’s Gymnastics is still in the fight for their lives and we at Save Cal Baseball remain committed to our original Save Cal Sports efforts.

Men’s Gymnastics has raised an unprecedented amount of money but they still need more- if you have any way of helping or can donate to their cause, please contact Andrew Hampy of Cal Gymnastics Forever at andrew@shortkidproductions.com.

Our ultimate victory will be complete when Men’s Cal Gymnastics is also reinstated.

Thank you for your continued and unwavering support!

GO BEARS (All of us!)!
