With upsets at 10 different sites on Friday, there are only six winners bracket games on Saturday between the regional host and the 2-seed at that site (three of these six are west-coast regionals):
• Austin Peay at Indiana
• Rice at Oregon
• Arizona State at Cal State Fullerton
• Cal Poly at UCLA
• Miami at Louisville
• South Alabama at Mississippi State

Virginia Tech was the only regional host that was upset on Friday (by UConn), while these were the nine other Friday upsets (regional 3-seeds over 2-seeds):
