Mother Nature – who has been a bit of an ice queen as a of late, by the way – continues to be the MVP of the college baseball season, as weather cancellations have led to cancellations over the past few days throughout the east and south.

At least 32 games across college baseball were cancelled or postponed on Tuesday, Feb. 24 – most notably, games at: Baylor, Clemson, Dallas Baptist, Maryland, North Carolina, UNC Wilmington, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, TCU, Virginia. There were at least 22 more games called off for Feb. 25, including at Arkansas State, College of Charleston , Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Maryland, Mississippi and UNC. … And Thursday’s cancellations included: at Arkansas and Texas Tech.

One of the most noteworthy midweek matchups saw UC Santa Barbara (cb360 #21 last week) win 6–4 at [48] Pepperdine, with the Gauchos improving to 7–1 (including 4-game sweep of BYU and winning 2-of-3 vs. Kentucky).
