CB360 Top–50 Weekend Scoreboard (Feb. 23–27, 2017)

February 26, 2017
By

After seeing plenty of upset carnage during the first eight days of the 2017 college baseball season, there was a return to normalcy during the second weekend – with higher-ranked teams winning at a 78.3% clip (102-28-1) in games involving CB360 Composite Top–50 teams from Feb. 23–27. That result summary stood in shark contrast to Opening Weekend (Feb. 16–20; when fav’s were only 93–39/.705) and when compared to an upset-riddled midweek stretch from Feb. 21–24 that saw the higher-ranked Top-50 teams combine to barely win more games (17) than they lost (16). [Note that the numbers referenced here include a handful of Thursday games, Feb. 23, that are included in both the midweek and weekend totals.]
