Conference play dominates the landscape of the college baseball schedule in the sixth weekend of the 2012 season. There are a slew of Top 50 head to head match-ups, but the biggest features #1 Florida at #6 South Carolina in a re-match of the 2012 College World Series Finals, won by the Gamecocks.
Those two powers actually began their three-game series Thursday night (links to box score and recaps below). The Gamecocks snapped the Gators’ program record 19-game winning streak with a 9-3 victory, but Florida bounced back to even the series with Friday’s 8-2 win.
