Mississippi State 2011 Baseball Schedule

Mississippi State is the latest team to unveil its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Bulldogs will host Akron and Lamar to open the season February 18-20 with two games against each team.

MSU will play its first 14 and and 18 of its first 19 games of the 2011 season at home. Trips to Birmingham, AL to play UAB and to Nashville, TN to face Lipscomb are the Bulldog’s only road trips prior to SEC play.

Two days after the game at Lipscomb the Bulldogs play their conference opening series at Vanderbilt. Other SEC road series are at Georgia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. Mississippi State hosts SEC series with Auburn, Florida, Alabama, LSU, and defending national champion South Carolina.

The SEC Baseball Tournament begins on May 25 in Hoover, AL.

Head coach John Cohen’s scheduled 35 home games in 2011 matches the 2003 record for the most home games in a season at MSU.
