Florida Still No. 1 In Writers’ Poll…

DALLAS, TX – For the 15th consecutive year, the NCBWA Top 30 poll representing 291 Division I baseball-playing schools is chosen by 42 national selectors from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

To date, Florida has been No. 1 in all three 2012 surveys and 10 different conferences have been represented of the 30 Division I circuits having automatic bids to NCAA Regionals. The polls will continue through June 29 at the conclusion of the 2012 NCAA World Series in Omaha.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors the Pro-Line Athletic Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
