Texas Tech upset #23 Texas A&M (13-7) and #28 Kentucky took the series finale from #18 Mississippi (12-3), in noteworthy Sunday results involving top-50 teams from the CB360 Composite National Rankings. Florida State (#7 in the CNR) won a tight game (5-3) to win its ACC series at #19 North Carolina, while #8 LSU beat #13 Arkansas for the second straight day (5-1). In other SEC action, #17 won at #21 Alabama (5-4) to avoid a sweep by the Tide.

Nine top-50 teams were upset on Sunday, but four of those teams are ranked in the 40s while Mississippi was the only CB360 top-20 team that suffered an upset loss. In addition to Ol’ Miss and A&M, the other top-50 teams that were upset included: at McNeese State 4, #24 Southeastern Louisiana 3 (10 inn.) … Utah 9, at #29 New Mexico … at Stephen F. Austin 10, #34 Northwestern (La.) State (10 inn.) … at High Point 15, #42 VMI 14 … at Sam Houston State 10, #47 Texas State 10-8 … at Wake Forest 4, #48 North Carolina State 3 … at South Alabama 12, #49 Louisiana-Lafayette 11 (13 inn.).

There were five games on Sunday involving matchups between top-50 teams: the aforementioned LSU-Arkansas, Ol’ Miss.-Kentucky, Vandy-Alabama and FSU-UNC series, along with #11 Florida’s 3-1 win over #43 Mississippi State.

Nine different top-50 teams – #5 Clemson, #8 Louisville, #14 Coastal Carolina, #15 Oklahoma, #33 Kansas St., #30 Washington St., #32 Wichita St., #39 Southern Mississippi and #41 Ohio State – had their originally-scheduled Sunday games either shifted or canceled due to various rainsorms and snowstorms.

Plenty of game-coverage and team links are included below, as are convenient postgame links (box scores/play-by-play, recaps from both teams, photos, video, etc.).
