Texas A&M 2011 Baseball Schedule

Texas A&M has released its 2011 college baseball schedule. The Aggies play their first nine and 14 of their first 17 games at home to start the season.

A Febraury 19-20 three-game series with LeMoyne opens the new season in College Station. That series is followed by a single game with Prairie View A&M, three games against Gonzaga and two games against Texas-Pan American.

Texas A&M heads to Houston, TX March 4-6 for games against Utah, Rice and Houston in the Houston College Classic. The games will be played at Minute Maid Park-the home of the Houston Astros. The Aggies then return to College Station for five more home games, which concludes on March 15 with a single game against Cal State Fullerton.

The Aggies open Big 12 Conference play March 18-20 at Oklahoma. Other road conference series are at Kansas State, Texas Tech and Missouri. They host Kansas, Oklahoma State and Nebraska in conference action. A&M also plays two split Big 12 series. They play the first game of their series with Baylor in Waco, TX and then host the final two games, while they host Texas to begin their series vs. the Longhorns and then play the last two games of that series (and the regular season) in Austin, TX.

Texas A&M has a total of 35 home games in 2011, with 47 games played in the state of Texas. The Aggies will face eight teams that advanced to NCAA Super Regionals in 2010 and two teams (TCU and Oklahoma) that advanced to the College World Series.
