Many of Tuesday’s upsets and key matchups were decided in late-game situations (details on the cb360updates Twitter feed). There were three other CB360 top-20 teams upset, as: Mississippi State edged #15 Southern Mississippi, 5-4 (in Pearl, Miss.) … the University of the Pacific won 7-4 at #18 California … and Samford picked up a big road win at #20 Alabama (4-2).
Six of the seven head-to-head matchups between CB360 top-50 teams were won by the higher-ranked squads, including #11 Oklahoma’s 8-3 win over #24 Oklahoma State in that Bedlam rivalry series game. Other results of note including #5 Arizona State’s 10-5 win at #22 Arizona and #26 Troy topping #38 Auburn (14-6).
