The first midweek games of the 2015 college baseball season have arrived, but numerous games have been postponed/cancelled due to the cold snap that earlier affected schedules throughout several states during Opening Weekend. Based on the CB360 preseason Composite National Rankings Top-50 (to be updated later this week), there still were 14 games of note on the docket for Tuesday, Feb. 17 (and nine on Feb. 18, including three moved from the 18th, plus four more on the 19th) … but plenty of others have been called off this week.
At least nine teams in the CB360 preseason top-50 had to postpone their Feb. 17 games. Those teams include: [2] Virginia, [4] Florida, [8] Houston, [13] Florida State, [19] Mississippi State, [23] Kennesaw State, [24] Ole Miss, [38] UCF and [43] Wichita State. … And notable teams that postponed games on Feb. 18: [1] Vanderbilt, [10] Louisville, [27] Clemson and [30] Tennessee.
