UNF & 11 Others Post Tuesday Top-50 Upsets …
The North Florida Osprey upset #4 Florida State (3-1) while Oklahoma won a top-20 showdown at TCU (4-2), highlighting a slate of 35 games scheduled on Tuesday that involved teams in the most recent CB360 Composite National Rankings Top-50 (March 31; to be updated tomorrow/April 7).
In addition to the OU-TCU matchup (#16 vs. #14), there were two other Tuesday games that featured teams in the CB360 top-50 going head-to-head … with both of the lower-ranked teams following the Oklahoma lead and posting the upsets: #49 Kentucky shut out visiting area rival #7 Louisville (5-0), followed by #30 Cal State Fullerton‘s 6-1 win at #2 UCLA (handing the Bruins their second loss of the season).
In addition to the four aforementioned wins by North Florida, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Fullerton, there were eight other games on Tuesday in which CB360 top-50 teams suffered upset losses, including each of the teams ranked 25th thru 29th in the CNR: UAB 11, at #25 Alabama 4 (the Dragons reprised their upset from seven days earlier) … at South Alabama 12, #26 Southeastern Louisiana 11 … at Charleston Southern 8, #27 The Citadel 7 … San Diego State 6, at #28 UC Irvine 5 … and at Elon 4, #29 North Carolina 2. The other Tuesday top-50 upsets were as follows: at Baylor 12, #39 Texas State 3 … Dallas Baptist 7, at #43 Rice 3 … and Louisiana-Lafayette 4, at #48 Northwestern (La.) State 2.
