Miami (8-0) is one of only six unbeaten teams remaining in the current CB360 top-50, along with #2 Stanford (8-0), #3 South Carolina (7-0), #4 Rice (9-0), #43 Gonzaga (7-0) and #49 UNC Greensboro (7-0).
Wednesday’s top-50 upsets included one against a previously-unbeaten team, as Western Carolina posted a 5-3 win at Georgia (cb360 #12). Two other SEC teams – #35 Vanderbilt (9-3 loss vs. Louisiana Tech) and #39 Mississippi State (rallied only to fall, 7-6, vs. Memphis) – similarly were knocked off in upsets on their home fields. Texas Arlington, a week removed from beating then-#8 Texas, upset another Big 12 team with Wednesday’s 10-3 win at #17 Oklahoma.
