There were no major upsets to speak of on Wednesday, as 28 teams in the newly-updated CB360 Composite National Rankings (CNR) top-50 were in action (new top-50 release to be posted late Wed.; new rankings noted below). The day’s 24 total games involving top-50 squads produced six upsets, most notably Tulane’s 5-3 home win over #25 Kansas. East Carolina (now #26 in the CNR) continued its recent slide, dropping a 13-12 game at High Point, while Arizona posted a big win (19-0) over #32 Wichita State.
Other teams that turned in upset performance vs. top-50 squads on Wednesday included :#42 VMI (12-1 at #35 The Citadel) … Duke (3-2 vs. #44 Liberty) … and UNC Wilmington (9-6 vs. #48 N.C. State). In addition to the VMI-Citadel game, there were three other matchups between top-50 teams: #3 Arizona State 8, at #36 Cal State Fullerton 6 … #17 Vanderbilt 17, at #37 Western Kentucky 6 … and #24 Southeastern Louisiana 9, at #49 Louisiana-Lafayette 4
