36 Home Games Set For Shockers…

Wichita State has released its 2012 college baseball schedule. The Shockers open their season Feb. 17-19 with three games at the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas. Games are slated against host Texas State as well as Louisiana-Lafayette and Santa Clara.

After a Feb. 21 game at Oral Roberts, WSU hosts a Feb. 24-26 four game series with North Dakota State.

The Shockers head west for four games at Hawaii March 1-4 and then return to Kansas to begin a 20-game home stand. UT Arlington is the first visitor of that stretch with a two game series on March 6 & 7. Other opponents during the home stand are Tulane (3), Oral Roberts, Purdue (4), Alcorn State (2), Long Beach State (3), South Alabama (2), and Southern Illinois (3).

The Southern Illinois series opens Missouri Valley Conference play. Other conference home series are against Missouri State, Dallas Baptist and Bradley. Conference road series are at Illinois State, Evansville, Indiana State, and Creighton.

The Shockers also have home and home game series slated vs. Kansas, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. They travel to Nebraska for a single game on May 15.
