CB360’s CNR FORMULA currently includes the following 15 elements:
• National

• National Collegiate Baseball Writers poll (60 total teams)
DIBaseball.com top-25 top-25

• Moore computerized rankings (top-60 teams)
• DISportsNet computerized rankings (top-60 teams)

SEC … ACC … Pac-12 … Big 12 … Big Ten … Big West … C-USA
AAC … MVC … Mt West … Sun Belt … Colonial … WCC  … Southland
BIG EAST … Horizon … Atlantic SunMid-American … America East

Four teams have entered/returned to the Top–50 in the current update: [38] Oregon, [43] Kentucky, [46] Kent State and [49] McNeese State … while [34] Georgia Tech, [39] NC State, [49] Kansas State and [50] South Alabama fell out.

Three of the current top-seven teams hail from the same conference … and it’s not the SEC (which actually has not teams currently #7 or higher) … and it’s not the ACC. It’s the Big 12, with [4] Texas Tech, [5] TCU (which had been the CNR #1 until this week) and upstart [7] Baylor. The top-10 also includes three from the ACC: [2] Louisville, [6] Florida State and [9] North Carolina, plus Pac-12 teams [1] Oregon State and [3] Arizona along with the SEC’s [8] LSU and BIG EAST standard bearer [10] St. John’s.

Baylor and St. John’s were not even among the CNR preseason top–50, but each has fashioned an impressive first month of the 2017 season. Texas Tech has climbed into the top-5 after opening the season at No. 21 in the CNR, while the other six current top-10 teams all were 12th or better in the preseason top–50. … On the flip side, four preseason top–10 teams have tumbled significantly: Coastal Carolina (CNR preseason #9; now #44) … Vanderbilt (started at #4; now #25) … South Carolina (#6 to #18) and Florida (#2 to #14).

One week earlier, the following seven teams entered/returned to the CB360 Top–50: [41] Charlotte, [42] Wake Forest, [43] Florida Gulf Coast, [44] San Diego, [47] Southeastern Louisiana, [48] Binghamton and [50] South Alabama. … And these seven had falled out of the Top–50: [32] UC Santa Barbara, [36] Miami, [39] Mississippi State, [40] UCLA, [41] Virginia Tech, [44] Arizona State and [48] Kent State.
