Florida needed nearly five hours before outlasting Georgia, 3-2 in 16 innings.

A big weekend kicked off in a big way on Friday – highlighted by 13 head-to-head series between top-50 teams in the CB360 Composite National Rankings. In noteworthy showdown series, #4 LSU won yet another 1-run SEC game (5-4 at #3 Kentucky) while #7 Baylor extended its school-record winning streak to 22 while remaining unbeaten (16-0) in the Big 12 with a 5-3 comeback in a statement-making game at #8 Texas A&M. Another top-50 matchup produced a 16-inning marathon spanning nearly five hours, as #2 Florida survived against #31 Georgia in a 3-2 game that ended on a strikeout/wild pitch with a runner on third. All told, the favorites went 24-11 (69%) in Friday’s CB360 top-50 games, with one game rained out and another suspended mid-game.  front-page photo courtesy of  Florida
